April 2010 - Banana has had a lot of changes this past year. Expanded garden seating, updated lighting outside and in the dining room, and most important is what we are here for, an expanded menu with new Thai Selections and new International Dishes. The Banana Corner Restaurant is the kind of place you would like to find on a day when you weren't looking for a restaurant but you ended finding one. Not a big time hotel restaurant, just the opposite. This year there have been some bumps in the road in Thailand but Banana is doing just fine. | What is happening here? This is a simple and good restaurant started by your Host Ying, joined by a creative young Swiss woman, Kristin, from Bern who wanted to learn to cook Thai food. Kristin ended up teaching cooking western food along the way, expanding the menu and innovating all the way, and is integral to Banana Corner. |
